He got into insurance
for the same reasons
you need it.
Back in the mid-1980s, Pete Stehr was building a career in sales — but the job required five to six days of overnight travel a week. With a young and growing family at home in Nebraska, that wasn't going to work.
Insurance gave him something rare: a career where he could stay close to home, be present for his family, and still do meaningful work for people. He made the move from working for someone else to working for himself — and never looked back.
"I wanted a career that let me be there for my family. Insurance gave me that — and it turned out I could help a lot of other families along the way."
Pete moved to Nebraska permanently in 1981 and has called Omaha home ever since. In nearly four decades of practice, he's helped Nebraska and Iowa families navigate health insurance, Medicare enrollment, life insurance, and retirement planning — always as an independent agent, always on the client's side.
